Hermitage J-L Chave 2010
Amongst the royalty in french winemaking, the Chave have 16 generations of know-how. A blend of multiple terroirs within Hermitage, this version echoes the long standing truth: bottles like these are rare because of the demands of the soil.
Ripe and unctuous, showing terrific cut, with heather, white peach, green almond, Anjou pear, persimmon and macadamia nut notes all framed by a toasted brioche hint. Exquisitely detailed through the finish, this shows salted butter and chammomile details. Remains refined, focused and pure, despite the obvious power.
